Flour moths can be introduced into your home by several routes. Often you have purchased a product that contained them and they have multiplied.
( Bags of birdseed, rice, pasta, cereal etc). You can recognize where they breed because of the many silk threads mixed in with the food.
If you find them, throw the food away because their droppings contain a toxin that can be harmful to humans.
Like the moth, the clothes moth comes out when it is dark. So you will be able to see them flying when you turn off the lights.
The moth, it is mostly interested in textiles of animal origin such as wool but they will also attack linens or cottons.
They lay eggs on fabrics that have been stored for a long time in the same place and the larvae bore holes in them to feed.
